I just love watching wedding videos, whether the wedding march is accompanied by an organ or rivera venus 3, it doesn’t matter. I also don’t care if I know the couple personally or not. It’s just that every time I watch one, it brings me back to the memories where my husband and I tied the knot. And the wedding songs? Oh! I love hearing them!

Weekend at Parks

I was taking a quick break from my pile of office work just a while back. Thank God it is already weekend. No plans have been set for tomorrow so I checked on the schedule of the nearby parks. Browsing the web site of the parks is like a stress buster. The photos are simply beautiful. Just looking at them makes me want to also schedule a photo shoot! We will probably pose at the gazebo and even on the pedestrian bridges. I like!

I will return to work now so I can head home soon.

Hello Summer

I can already feel the heat here in our country. The waves and sea breeze keep on lingering in my head. In some parts of the globe, snow is slowly melting and people are probably starting to pack away their thule ski rack so they can use it again when winter comes and skiing is rampant.

I, on the other hand, will start planning for our summer activities. I am sure my girls are looking forward to it too.

Flowers for Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is nearing. I’m sure flower shops will be the busiest shop around this time. But what if your loved one is miles away from you? How can this be possible? Well, thanks to flower delivery, you can still send and express your love to your special someone through flowers. Too bad my husband is not that type of person who expresses himself through flowers and chocolates haha! But my brother does!

Last year, on Valentine’s Day itself, I received a dozen of white roses delivered to me in the office. He ordered it online from one of the flower shops in the Philippines and had it delivered straight to our office. That’s the wonder of a single click!

I still have those flowers, dried and displayed at home!

Feast of the Black Nazarene – held every 9th of January in Quiapo, Manila. Devotees of that number in the thousands flock around the life-size statue of the Black Nazarene (Jesus Christ) as it inches across the streets packed with devotees around Quiapo church. Devotees attribute many miracles to this 400 year old image which was brought to the the Philippines from Mexico in the 7th century.

Pasungay – Every 2nd Saturday of January Location: San Joaquin, Iloilo. A festival of bulls on the hillsides of San Joaquin. Prized bulls from the town and neighboring areas fight amidst wild cheering from spectato

Ati-Atihan Festival – fiesta starts from the16th to the 22nd of January in Kalibo, Aklan. Revelers masquerading as Negritos in colorful costumes, dance to the beat of drums while chanting “Hala Bira!” in preparation to the Sunday procession in honor of the Santo Niño.

Sinulog Festival – celebrated every 3rd week of January in Cebu City. This Philippine fiesta in Visayas region celebrates Cebu’s patron saint, the Santo Niño (Child Christ). This week long event is marked by processions, street dancing and parades. This fiesta is a local version of the Mardi gras.

Dinagyang – Every fourth weekend of January Location: Iloilo City, Iloilo. Spectacle characterized by a frenetic stomping of feet and hypnotic drumbeating. It is a colorful whirl of thousands of people dressed in unique costumes dancing and chanting all day and night.

KC Concepcion bids goodbye to The Buzz

After the sensitive issues that KC Concepcion had gone through with Piolo Pascual, she appeared on TV with a new look, having hair hair cut. I believe it’s a visible sign that she is already moving on after the KC-Piolo breakup.

Last Sunday, on The Buzz, KC Concepcion bid goodbye to the said show where she has hosted for two years. Nope, she’s not switching channel but taking the challenge as a new host to a new show The X Factor.

When asked how she feels about this change, she expressed her excitement for this year. And the last message she shared with everyone was:

“You should never allow anyone to step on you. You should not let anyone think less of you and that bilang babae, meron kang strength na hindi mo alam or hindi mo malalaman agad-agad na meron ka, pero meron ka nun at huwag mong bibitawan ‘yon.”
