Summer Fun With an Above Ground Swimming Pool

When you live in a cooler climate with bitter cold and snowy winters, you want to maximize your summer months. Those few short months of warm weather are what get you through the cold ones. One way to maximize the fun of your summer months is to buy a swimming pool. However, many people don’t think they can justify the expense of an in ground swimming pool when they live in a cooler climate. One way to bypass this dilemma is to purchase an above ground swimming pool. This type of pool provides just as much fun as the in ground version and, as a bonus, they can be put in storage each year when winter returns.

Your back yard is a great place to put an above ground swimming pool. If you want a little privacy to go along with your new swimming pool, you should consider installing a fence if you don’t already have one. You will also need to decide on the best location for the new above ground swimming pool. Consider placing the pool in an area that receives ample sunlight so that the pool water will warm up quickly and remain at a comfortable temperature throughout the day. Many pool owners also choose to landscape their yard to include a sand pit under their above ground swimming pool.

Your neighbors and friends will likely start finding excuses to visit you more often once you have the above ground swimming pool in place and your home will quickly become the new hot summer hang out for all of your children’s friends. You can expand these pool parties by inviting the neighborhood over for a late afternoon barbecue and make your first summer with an above ground swimming pool the best summer ever.
