Olongapo City. Scores of people living along riverbanks here were evacuated to high grounds after three days of heavy rains caused by monsoon rains overwhelmed the city’s waterways, flooding 15 of the 17 barangays in the city.
City disaster management officials said that they have so far evacuated 77 people to the Olongapo City National High School and are still moving scores of families from 4 barangay evacuation centers.
“All of the disaster management teams were mobilized. The last time that we had this type of flooding was in 1997. The areas along the Mabayuan and the Sta. Rita creek were the most damage in terms of property,” Layug said.

Reading this article makes me think of the effect after the flood. I’m sure by the time it’s gone, we would all need a central vacuum motor to clean up the places. *sigh*
