My boss sometimes calls me “my travel agent”. He’s a frequent flyer and it won’t pass a month without traveling overseas. Most of the time, he stays for a week here and go again for another business trip. And it goes on like that.

I won’t be surprised if I’d become an expert travel agent by the time I completed at least a year at work.  Well, in fact, I’m now quite familiar with all these IATA Airport Codes, name of the unique hotels in different countries, daily flight schedules, the procedures etc.

It is sometimes confusing but I’m loving it!

People have been complaining about the weather for the past days. It had been terribly hot that made people sick.

Today, as I woke up, I heard water dripping from outside. Thought I was just dreaming but no it was really raining cats and dogs. At this moment the rain has stopped. I hope it continues in the night. That would help us sleep soundly. At least no need to turn the A/C on, that way we could conserve a little energy and money.

Professor began his class by holding up a glass with some water in it. He held it up for all to see & asked the students “How much do you think this glass weighs?”

‘50gms!’ …. ‘100gms!’ ……’125gms’ …the students answered.

“I really don’t know unless I weigh it,” said the professor, “but, my question is:

What would happen if I held it up like this for a few minutes?” ‘Nothing’ ……the students said.

‘Ok what would happen if I held it up like this for an hour?’ the professor asked.’Your arm would begin to ache’ said one of the student. “You’re right, now what would happen if I held it for a day?”

“Your arm could go numb, you might have severe muscle stress & paralysis & have to go to hospital for sure!”
….. ventured another student & all the students laughed.

There was no gift card with it. Wondering why? Coz I bought it for myself. Yes, I bought an early birthday gift for myself…. We went to Royal Subic last Sunday to buy “baon” for my daughter in prep for her summer schooling and saw this bag.

Actually, I went to the store back for the other bag but unfortunately, the last piece was sold already. So I took this bag instead. Not bad! It had the same design and texture, just the shape and style differ.

Being the Corporate Assistant of the Company, my job responsibilities include the auto insurance renewal. Last week I got two new Auto Insurance Quotes and since I have no idea how it works out, I had to send an email to my boss’s friend and asked for an advice whether we will continue and renew the services with the existing insurance company. They advised that we take the one with the higher coverage for third party because the P100k will never be enough to cover the expenses if ever you will hit another car which is much expensive and incurred many bodily injury.

They even cited an example that:

If you hit a Mercedez benz with a market value of P2,000,000 and the damage you caused to the car is estimated P300k then you will have to shoulder the P200k because you only have coverage of P100K.  Not to forget that the difference in the premium for a higher coverage third party liability is very minimal.
