“I was there”
“Fighting for excellence”
“Fight Olongapo”
“Bawal ang tamad sa Olongapo”

Those were just some of the famous lines that made ‘Gaponians reunited 16 years ago. After the Mt. Pinatubo eruption, everyone thought that we wouldn’t survive. It looked like a ghost city. Some left but because of the efforts and cooperation that majority of the residents who stoodby had shown, we did it! Yes, we fought for excellence!

Those days Olongapo was known to be one of the “pugad ng mga babaeng mabababa ang lipad”, well, people of Olongapo were able to wipe out that label. Try and mention “Olongapo” or “Subic” to anyone and you’d hear pleasant words from them. Maybe because of the changes made as years went by. The added attractions that SBMA has now made my hometown well-known, not only here but abroad.

Here’s a list of the attractions rather the most visited amusement parks that you shouldn’t miss when you visit SBMA:

I’ve been to other countries and places but still I won’t trade any of these spots to anywhere I’ve been to. ‘Ika nga Walang Iwanan sa Bayan ni Juan. Okay, I won’t talk much about my beloved home. Just come and see! Experience Philippines! And don’t fail to check updates on Tourism Pnas 2009.
