It Felt Like Home

One of the things that I really missed the day I left home was my “radio”. I had a small radio which I used to keep next to my bed. Through that, I get to listen to my favorite songs from different radio stations. The moment I got to Bahrain, I felt like my world became small. Most of the songs that I was hearing over the radio were Arabic songs. I got tired listening to David Pomeranz’s songs over and over again {my cousin got me a casette tape before I left, yeah that time it was a casette tape that I had LOL}. I checked the recording shops hoping to find some Tagalog CDs but to no avail.

Until…. I thought of checking the internet for some possible online radio stations. I remember typing Manila Radio Stations through Ask Jeeves {I didn’t know much about Google that time haha!}. I clicked on eRadio Portal. They’ve got a list of all AM/FM Radio Stations.

From there I saw Kuro Bulletin Board. It’s a Filipino Community Forum. I registered my name, looked around and that’s how and where I met Arlene, 5 years ago. That’s where I also made a lot of friends including Jenefer and the KFG.

Through eRadio Portal and Kuro, it felt like I was home!
