I used to neglect and ignore this coin > bente singko as I don’t seem to see the value of it any longer. {Dati-rati di ko na pansin ang bente singko dahil di ko na ramdam ang halaga nito.}

But when the jeepney fare increased to P8.50, I began to see the importance and value of it once more. Without it, I can’t come up to such amount > P8.50

Some of the drivers that I have encountered still do not charge this extra .50., when I don’t have an exact amount, I usually give them P9.00, but they would give back the peso coin instead and tell me they don’t have change for that. Bcoz of the good gesture that these drivers had shown me, I happily told them “okay lang po” and gave them the peso coin back with a smile… Not much but if 10 people in a day would do the same, I’m sure it’ll be a big help for them.

Ilan sa mga tsuper na naenkwentro ko ay di pa din naniningil ng .50, lalo na kapag wala akong eksaktong halaga, kadalasan P9.00 ang binibigay ko sa kanila pero sa halip ay ibinabalik nila ang piso at sinasabing wala silang panukli. At dahil sa kabutihang ito, sinasabi ko na lang sa kanila na “okay lang po” at muli binabalik ko ang piso ng may kasamang ngiti. Alam ko di yun kalakihang halaga pero kung sampu sa mga taong gagawa ng katulad ng ginagawa ko, sigurado ako na malaki ang maitutulong sa kanila.}

Wow Mitch! That’s nice. I encountered one driver who refused to take the 0.50 PHP because he told me that the other drivers might think that it’s their right to keep the change. :)

Ako din, when I left Pnas in 1999, P2.50 lang pasamahe. Pagbalik ko after 2 years P4.00 na.

honga, wala na kse tayong 50 cents eh….

Oo nga ano? Di ko napansin yan hehe! Akala ko di lang ako nasusuklian nyan. :p

Wow!
